A Passion for Live Music!
Though the landscape is at the heart of my photography, I don’t always limit myself to just photographing the outdoors. One of the wonderful things about photography is that you can combine it with your other interests in life.
One of those interests is going to live music events. You simply can't beat the visceral experience of a good gig and I love using my skills as a photographer to capture those epic moments music that you can only get with a live a show.
Over the years I have captured images of Muse, Coldplay, Tom Jones, Snow Patrol, Nick Mason, Kaiser Chiefs, Primal Scream , Richard Ashcroft, Mumford & Sons, Chvrches, Wet Wet Wet, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Europe, The Boomtown Rats and many, many more! I have covered music festivals such as Radio 1 Big Weekend and Beautiful Days. I also work closely with popular music websites such as MusoMuso and shoot in venues like Bristol Beacon, Plymouth Pavilions, and the Exeter Phoenix.
Below you’ll find a selection of my best live music photographs, and just below that, you’ll find The Unplugged Blog where you’ll find images from all the gigs I’ve photographed.
If you’d like to discuss any aspect of my live music photography, just send me a message using the contact form.

It was back to back gigs in Bristol, but with Skunk Anansie headlining it was very much worth the effort.
After photographing Primal Scream in 2023 there was no chance I was going to miss an opportunity to photograph them again in Bristol.
There’s very few bands that I’d be willing to make a 4 hour round trip to Cardiff for but Snow Patrol is one them!
There’s not always a lot to do on a February Thursday evening in Exeter, so when my friends over at MusoMuso asked if I wanted a photograph three hard hitting bands at the Exeter Phoenix I couldn’t say no!
For my 1st gig of 2025 I head back to the Exeter Phoenix for a two-tone night featuring two bands, Revolution Roots and The Beat.
A recap of the photographs I captured in 2023 and 2025 featuring Muse, Snow Patrol, Nick Mason and Del Amitri!
